About

Scott McDonald is an accomplished abstract artist based in the North of England, specialising in freestanding sculpture for both interior and exterior display. Over the past 15 years, he has established a strong presence in the art world, exhibiting at various sculpture parks and holding solo shows in galleries across the UK.

His extensive experience with materials such as steel, bronze, aluminium, brass, iron, concrete, and resin allows him to explore the richness and versatility of sculpture. Scott graduated from Gray's School of Art in 2012 and furthered his studies with a Masters in Art & Design Research in 2014.

In his practice, Scott engages with traditional sculptural elements—tension, balance, weight, composition, and repetition—while striving to reinterpret these concepts in innovative ways. Each piece reflects a meticulous attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to form, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between space and sculpture. Through his work, Scott aims to challenge conventional perspectives and provoke an ongoing dialogue about the nature of art and its interaction with the environment.
